Tim Seip For State House

100 Days To Go!

Posted Jul 28 at 11 AM

We are now less than 100 days from November 4, 2008 (Election Day) and busy is just what I expected to be. This last week was just that.

I had an opportunity to meet voters in Tremont Borough as I did door to door and we also were able to take in a great lunch at the Theater restaurant while we were in town.

Joe Jones Way was dedicated at Highridge Business Park and I was able to attend a wonderful gathering of community leaders to mark this important event.

The west end of the 125th was a real focus of the weekend. Friday marked the 2nd Annual Seip for Statehouse Winefest at Benignaʼs Creek in Klingerstown. It was great to have so many supporters, including Congressman Tim Holden, on hand for the event that could not have been more beautiful. I really enjoyed talking with everyone as we sampled double gold medal winning wines and took in the picturesque views of the vineyard and mountain ridge backdrops.

Saturday I was again in the Mahantongo Valley for the Pitman firemanʼs parade and carnival. The chicken platter was excellent and the Friendly Nursing Home banana split was wonderful.

Sunday I put on a lot of miles in the Sacramento Community Fire Company Motorcycle Poker Run. We crisscrossed the west end of the 125th, dipping into Dauphin County and touching Lebanon County for a few minutes as well. The ride was a great way to talk to voters and support the great work of the firefighters and fire police of the Sacramento Community Fire Company.

Following the Poker Run, I was off to meet Charlie Zimmerman at the North End Fire Company Car Show in Pine Grove. I enjoyed meeting everyone who took so much time to make their cars show perfect.

To cap off the night, I opened the Schuylkill County Fair with the fair committee and many other community leaders and past fair officers. I always look forward to seeing the meticulous care that our young people take in reading their animals for judging.

I will be at the fair all week to talk with folks from the 125th district and guests visiting my legislative district too.

See you at the fair!
