Let the Hawaii Civil Unions Bill Become Law!

Republican Governor Linda Lingle is reportedly undecided about whether to sign or veto Hawaii's civil unions bill.

On April 29th, the Hawaii Legislature overwhelmingly passed House Bill 444, which grants same-sex couples in civil unions "the same rights, benefits, protections, and responsibilities" as those enjoyed by married couples.

IF SIGNED INTO LAW, this bill will dramatically improve the lives of thousands of Hawaii families, and it will help add momentum to the nation-wide movement for equal rights.

IF VETOED, it could be years before Hawaiians get another chance to take a step towards equality.

Governor Lingle has until July 6th to sign, veto, or allow the bill to automatically become law.
Add your voice today, before it's too late!  Make sure Governor Lingle hears your story and knows how important this issue is to you!

Gay and lesbian couples deserve a chance to join in all the rights, responsibilities, and traditions of other families. I ask that Governor Lingle sign House Bill 444, the Hawaii Civil Unions bill, into law!
